The HiLyte 500 tower is available to buy now from our e-shop. Choose from four different platform sizes and 21 heights
Mobile access towers available to buy online from Prolift Access now include the new-look HiLyte 500 and HiLyte 250.
The easy-to-assemble towers offer a safer alternative to ladders when work at height is required over longer periods of time.
Sturdy and stable, they give workers a safe and secure environment to work in and all of them carry BSEN1004:2004 (3T) certification.
The HiLyte 500 tower is the most cost-effective of Lyte’s range, and includes a wide ladder with hexagonal rungs that make the structure easy and safe to climb.
The HiLyte 250 tower offers even greater strength and stability with its 250mm pitch span frame. In addition, users can access each level from both sides inside the tower thanks to Lyte’s double hatch deck feature.
All towers are available in 21 different platform heights from 2.2m to 12.2m. Towers of 8.7m and above are suitable for indoor use only. There is also a choice of single (0.85m) or double width (1.45m) platform sizes, in lengths of either 1.8m or 2.5m.
The Work at Height Regulations (2005) insist that any person assembling a mobile access tower is competent to do so, as well as anybody who uses, supervises or manages the use of a tower.
Prolift Access offers a range of PASMA training courses which will ensure your workforce can safely and competently assemble, dismantle, relocate, alter and manage mobile access towers.

The importance of routine ladder safety checks has been highlighted after a worker in London suffered a fractured arm in a fall from a dangerous stepladder.
Iron Mountain (UK) Ltd was fined £5,000 and ordered to pay £8,940 in costs after pleading guilty to a single breach of the Work at Height Regulations 2005 at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on February 5, 2014.
The case followed a Health and Safety Executive (HSE) investigation into the 48-year-old employee’s fall, which established that the ladder was in a poor condition and was critically weakened by a crack that eventually caused it to fail.
HSE Inspector Monica Babb said: “Ladders are often seen as an everyday item that can be taken for granted. They are not routinely checked, which is vital when it comes to identifying potential defects.
“Yet when they fail the consequences can be very serious. On this occasion a worker sustained a painful elbow injury, but it could have been much worse had he fallen from a greater height or landed in a different position.
“Iron Mountain (UK) Ltd should have inspected the step ladders it made available for staff and provided replacements. Checking ladders is an essential aspect of safely managing work at height, and I hope today’s prosecution sends a clear message to others.”
Prolift Access has a full range of new ladders for sale from its e-shop. Low prices and free delivery are available on all roof, extension and step ladders.
Prolift also runs a Safe Use of Ladders and Stepladders training course. Click on the link for more information on the half-day course, or call 0845 366 4755.
