Prolift Access supplied two deliveries of Ground-Guard temporary roadway panels to the recent Concert at the Kings music festival in Wiltshire.
The annual concert outside the Kings Arms in All Cannings, which attracted more than 4,000 fans, was headlined by The Boomtown Rats with Bob Geldof and also featured performances from Steve Harley & Cockney Rebel, The Troggs and The Straits among many others.
With heavy rain raising concern over ground conditions in the lead up to the concert, organisers hired 150 Ground-Guard GG48 panels from Prolift Access. The panels, which weigh 39kg each and are easily fixed together using special joining clips, are strong enough to take a maximum vehicle weight of 60 tonnes. Each panel measures 1.2m x 2.4m.
Organisers used the panels to lay temporary roadways while workers constructed the stage and concert area in the days prior to the big day. They were also used to protect the ground as thousands of music fans arrived and departed the festival.
Ground-Guard GG48 panels are available to hire nationwide. Minimum hire length is one week. Please visit our Ground-Guards RoadTrack hire page for more details.
