Speedy have made the acquisition as part of a drive to expand their powered access capabilities in the UK market.
Prolift’s former MD, Andy Pearson, will continue to lead the business as Powered Access South West Regional Director.
Andy said: “This is a very exciting time for the company, giving us a great opportunity to continue our growth as part of the Speedy group.
“For our existing customers and suppliers, it is very much business as usual and we will continue to provide the high levels of service our customers have come to expect of us.”
Prolift have an extensive hire fleet of more than 750 scissor and boom lifts, offering platform heights ranging from 10ft to 135ft.
Their main depot in Somerset is ideally located to serve the nearby Hinkley Point C project, while three other depots in Cornwall, Bristol and Hampshire have the entire South West covered.
Prolift also provide a full range of IPAF and PASMA training courses, as well as service maintenance agreements for customer-owned equipment.
